A 19-year-old Kurdish youth from Mahabad was attacked by a group of jash (regime collaborators) and Basij members. He was stabbed multiple times by a Basij member named 'Nima Teymouri' and died from his wounds. The attack also injured three other citizens. His death triggered nightly protests in front of Khomeini Hospital in Mahabad and a general strike by shopkeepers and merchants in the city.
