Accounting student Najmeh Amini sentenced to death for 'insulting the Prophet'

Najmeh Amini, 23, an accounting student arrested at Mashhad's Ferdowsi shopping centre during the protests on 31 January, was sentenced on 16 September to death by Mashhad Criminal Court for 'insulting the Prophet' and to 12 years, six months and one day by the Revolutionary Court; she then released an audio message from Vakilabad prison asking for a fair trial, Hengaw reported.
