By the end of 10 January HRANA had confirmed 116 deaths in connection with the protests, seven of them under 18, and said most were killed by live ammunition or pellets, mostly at close range; it also counted 37 members of the security forces and one prosecutor killed, 2,638 arrests, and protests at 574 locations in 185 cities across all 31 provinces.
