Sagher Seifollahi-Fard

English teacher, writer, and author identified during the national uprising of Dey month; on 7 Bahman, while returning from work, security forces attempted to arrest her; she resisted and was severely beaten, dying from repeated severe baton blows to the head. Her family was pressured to declare the cause of death as suicide, though the death certificate listed cause of death as 'blunt object trauma to the head.' She held a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Kharazmi University and was buried in Behesht-e Zahra cemetery, Tehran.
