Social-media user known online as “James Bidin.” Reportedly arrested at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran on 18 December 2024 while preparing to travel to Kish Island. Authorities accused him of national-security offenses and alleged links to Israeli intelligence. Iranian state television broadcast a purported confession in October 2025. Mousavi said the confession was coerced and edited misleadingly after prolonged solitary confinement and interrogation. His lawyer disputed the allegations, and his family reportedly filed a complaint concerning the broadcast. In October 2026, activists warned that he faced a possible death sentence. The allegations against him and claims of coercion should be attributed to their respective sources; a final judgment and current prison location remain unverified.
