Maryam Hadavand, a January 2026 protest detainee held in Evin Prison, was sentenced to death in connection with the fire at the Seyyed al-Shohada mosque in Pakdasht, Hengaw reported. Hengaw said she was the second woman arrested in these protests to be sentenced to death.
