Find a person

Type a name or a city in the search box at the top of any page. Try the surname alone, or another spelling. You can also browse by day, by city or on the map.

Understand the coloured marks

Each name has a letter. Green A and blue B mean human rights or news lists have recorded the person. Yellow C means family reports or linked posts. Red D means not yet verified — we are asking for help. Hover over or tap any mark to see what it means.

Watch videos and posts

Some footage shows violence. Nothing plays or loads until you choose to open it. Each video links to the place it was first published.

Send information or evidence

Use “Send evidence” to add photos, videos, documents, voice messages or links, to correct a detail, or to add a missing name. You do not need an account. You will get a code so you can add more later.

Stay safe

If you are inside Iran, use a VPN if you can. Do not write your name or phone number. Photos and videos can contain the place they were taken; you can remove location data before sending.

For families

You can correct a record, add a photograph, or ask for a photograph, a detail or the whole record to be hidden. It is hidden straight away while we check. We never ask you to prove anything.

Every person has their own page. Use the share buttons to send it on X, Telegram, WhatsApp or Facebook, or copy the link, so they are remembered.
