Mahboubeh Shabani, 33, who helped carry injured protesters on her motorbike in January, was sentenced to death by Branch 1 of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court; the non-final sentence was communicated on 26 September 2026. Two days later, on 28 September, she was moved to a solitary confinement cell in Vakilabad Prison.
