Majid Nikandish, from Quchan, was hanged on 30 September 2026 together with Ali Hemati-Sistani, the judiciary's Mizan agency announced. He was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court and the sentence was upheld by Branch 39 of the Supreme Court; IHRNGO sources say he was tortured and denied being a protest leader.
