Hojjat Naimi, a 35-year-old office employee living in Tehran, was arrested in March 2026, according to rights groups. Agents reportedly went through older posts on his Instagram account and detained him over protest-related stories saved in his archive. Iran Human Rights Society says he was shot in the right shin after his first round of interrogation. He was later transferred to Suite 35 of Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj with a leg wound, and former inmates say he faced obstacles to adequate medical care there. His arrest was linked to his social media posts, but no formal charge has been confirmed. No trial or sentence has been reported. As of the latest report in August 2026, he was still being held.
