علی عالی‌پور، رییس هیات بوکس پلدختر یک روز پس از بازداشت در جریان انقلاب ملی ایرانیان، جان‌باخت. بنا بر این گزارش، او در ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴ بازداشت شد، اما شب‌هنگام آزاد شد، اما صبح روز بعد به دلیل سکته قلبی جان باخت. مرگ مشکوک او درحالی است که پیام‌های رسیده حاکی از اعمال شکنجه و تزریق آمپول‌های ناشناس به زندانیان است.
