Their story

Shahram Mohammadzadeh, whose name on his documents was Abdullah, was a 35-year-old Kurdish cabinet maker from Esfarayen in North Khorasan province. He was born in 1368 (1989–90) and earned his living building cabinets by hand. On the evening of 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404) he joined the street protests in Esfarayen and was shot with live ammunition by the regime's security forces. A message shared by people who knew him said he was wounded that night and detained, and that his body was handed to his family four or five days later. He was buried in Esfarayen under heavy security.
