Death sentences and executions
People in Iran reported to be under a death sentence, at risk of execution or executed. Each case shows its source, its reported legal stage and the date it was last checked. A reported death sentence is not the same as a final court decision.
These figures are never added together: a death sentence, an execution carried out and a report of risk are different things. How we decide “imminent”

How this watch works
Every case is checked by a person before it is published. Social-media posts are research leads: they can start a check, but they never set a status on their own.
Sources are counted by independent origin. Ten posts copying one report count as one source. A report whose origin is unknown is not counted as independent.
Each card shows when the case was last checked. A case that has not been checked recently is marked “needs review” — it never means the person is no longer at risk.
Public attention can bring more scrutiny to a case. This site does not claim that sharing a page will save someone. Prisoners
