Iman Farai had just turned 18 when he was killed during Iran’s nationwide protests. According to an account published on Instagram, on 12 January 2026 (22 Dey 1404) Iman was setting fire to a banner of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the Boroujerdi bridge at Seh-Rah-e Afsariyeh in Tehran. Eight regime agents then beat him severely, breaking his jaw in two places and fracturing his skull. His eyes were also injured. The account says the agents then poured an unidentified substance down his throat. Five days later, on 17 January 2026 (27 Dey 1404), Iman went into cardiac arrest and died. A memorial ceremony was held in Bazaneh, near Arak, and he was buried at Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in Tehran. Other reports give a different account. HRANA, which has confirmed his death, lists him as killed in Arak on 8 January 2026, and another profile describes him as a 15-year-old shot by security forces in Arak.
