Their story
Nader Siahani, a 16-year-old Baloch teenager and the son of Khalqdad from the village of Amanabad in the Mehrgan section of Saravan county, Sistan and Baluchestan province, was killed on 21 Dey 1404. Local sources, including Haalvsh and Rasank, reported that he was traveling by motorcycle along a longstanding local mountain route in the Siahan area between Bache-rahi and Esfandak when border guard forces fired a shot that struck him in the head without any prior warning, stop, or identity check. He died immediately at the scene. His body was taken to a border post; authorities initially stated that he had died from a motorcycle overturn and head injury, but when the family saw the body they observed a clear gunshot wound to the head. The killing took place while border forces were on heightened alert after nationwide protests on 18–19 Dey, a period in which local residents described indiscriminate shooting toward people using everyday paths near the border. Four days later, Yasin Siahani, a 20-year-old relative from the same village, was killed in similar circumstances in the same area.
